Déjà Vu

I’m feeling something new that I have not
Ever felt before but I have sought
Now that I have, I don’t feel the same
The past is free to go up in flames
Instead I smile; stay a little while

Chorus:
I’ve found your love
And you’ve just found mine
We’ll have to keep on moving
Or we won’t make it in time
Are we noticing the signs?
It’s déjà, déjà, déjà vu

Must be constant and remain ready
Her feelings for me remain steady
Now that we have, we’ve finished that phase
Now we no longer distract our gaze
Instead I smile; stay a little while

I’ve found your love
You’ve found mine
It’s déjà vu
I’ve found your love
You’ve found mine
It’s déjà vu

CHORUS

Do you ever feel you’re on your own?
Or your joy is out in the unknown?
I’ll always be here to prove that’s wrong
And help you to move your life along
This feels like something I’ve felt before
Before, before, before

CHORUS

It’s déjà, déjà, déjà vu
It’s déjà, déjà, déjà vu

I think of déjà vu as a form of fate. It might feel like you are on the right path of your life. Or it could be when you meet someone for the first time but it feels like you’ve known them longer. Déjà vu: an interesting state to be in.
